Commonly used as a natural yellow dye for coloring wool and cloth. Use dried calendula to garnish soups and salads, or bake into cookies, cakes and breads. Calendula is an excellent herb to sip as tea or use in tea blends, great for potpourri and floral displays, and can be infused in oil for soaps, lotions and other topical formulations.

Calendula Flowers

I ordered the Calendula Flowers to try my hand at making soap and maybe some other products. Ordering is easy, delivery was fast and packaging is beautiful.

Wow!

Was a tad disappointed to realize the calendula flowers weren’t sourced from the USA however they look and smell amazing as well as I have found a few seeds in the mix. 1 4oz bag filled 4 wide mouth Quarts leaving about 2 inches headspace in each quart. Packaging from Farmhouse teas is welcoming and made me feel fantastic when I opened my box. Thank you!

Great!

I am overall pleased with the purchase of this starter kit. I am a first time home brewer of Kombucha and this was very beginner friendly. The only thing I am not certain of is, during my research and being on all sorts of Kombucha blogs, I have read/learned that you need 2 cups of starter liquid per gallon. I didn't specifically measure, but I don't think the starter liquid that came with the pellicle was 2 cups, I think it was more like 1 cup, and it did say it makes a gallon, so it may be a little misleading. Fortunately, this did NOT have a negative impact on my batch. My first batch did take a little over 2 weeks to be ready for F2 (which is quite long), but I was still able to get a good batch out of it, which also helped to create future batches. I am now on my 4th batch, so needless to say, even if it wasn't a full 2 cups of starter liquid per gallon, it still worked, just took a bit longer!

First time to try Tulsi/Holy Basil

I have been wanting to try this herbal tea for quite some time. I finally have and I am a huge fan now! It is delicious on it's own with a little honey mixed in or I will sometimes add calendula and/or chamomile to switch up the flavors a bit. It will remain in my rotation of herbal teas going forward!

Moringa

I use it as a tea. I add about a teaspoon of honey. Although it seems to have a bit of a peppery taste it is not overpowering. I like the taste of it.

Elderberry Syrup Kit

This is my second order for this kit. It is easy to make and I love the flavor. Even my 4 year old great grandson will take it, and that gives me peace of mind, as it will help him from being sick so much.

Rooibos

I absolutely loved the flavor of this. It is probably one of my favorites!

Not coffee!

Many times I drink coffee just to have some flavor besides water. This is a great way to add better flavor with less caffeine. Love it! I love trying the teas and coffee substitutes from Farmhouse Teas.
