When I lived in Germany , I had to concoct my own spice blend to make spiced wine. I had a wood stove and it just sat at the back of the stove and made the house smell yummy. I always loved my best friends recipe for mulled cider, but she lost it and I was on the hunt for something similar. Now I can do it myself with Farmhouse Teas Traditional Mulling Spices, yay! So happy to find this and now my mulled cider might be better than my best friends! A beautiful blend of just the right spices.

I was lucky to catch this St. Friacre's star of all mulling spices on sale...so I bought two! I mixed almost the whole jar in 1 gallon of organic apple cider and simmered for an hour. This was absolutely the best spiced apple I have ever tasted!

I used the yarrow to make the flu fighter glycerite with the other ingredients in the Homesteading Family cold and flu kit. I have about 4 weeks left to see how it works. I do plan to try and plant yarrow this year. But I also know I can get it from Farmhouse Teas as well. Thank you so much. Michelle

I love this mix because it’s easy. I don’t have to search out horseradish or turmeric roots. I love that I truly can dump and go. I haven’t yet used our fire cider in recipes; we’ve only taken diluted shots of it when feeling illness coming on. This season I’m planning on taking it preventatively.
