Made from Grade 18/8 Stainless steel this mesh tea strainer rests on top of a small teacup. Loose leaf tea is added to the strainer and hot water is poured over it as it infuses. These work best for large leaf loose teas rather than small leaf (chamomile, rooibos). It's also great for straining kombucha and making tinctures. We recommend a tea press for the smaller loose leaf teas.
This strainer is at a nice low-cost and fits perfectly in the top of most mugs. It allows the tiniest particles through, but does keep the bulk of your tea leaves out of your cup.
I have many little tea strainers; most you have to put the tea leaves in and screw the top on. This little strainer is great for making a good hot cuppa! Winter is coming on and that is my time for a good hot cuppa to enjoy in the morning!

These are great for gift-giving or trying new flavors. I appreciate the attention to detail when packaging. It's nice to open for yourself and perfectly ready to wrap if giving as a gift. The sizes are great for multiple cups to really get the feel of a drink. Definitely recommend!
There are many companies that claim their teas/coffees do certain things, but actually experiencing those effects is few and far between - NOT for this tea!!! My personal experience is this tea does what the description says, even while I'm in the middle of a cup, not hours later. It actually relaxes me so well that I am ready to go to sleep halfway through the cup. My toddler was wanting some of my drink as well, so I gave him a small amount with some milk. A few minutes later, he was calm, relaxed and ready for bed also. Thank you for making real, quality drinks!
