Herbal Tea- Steep 1 tsp of tea per 6-8 oz boiling water (212° F) for 5-7 minutes for best results.

Store in an airtight container away from temperature extremes and sunlight.

Sweet Hibiscus Tea Lemonade with a Twist

Ingredients:

¼ cup Farmhouse Tea's High Desert Hibiscus
2 cups hot water
3 large lemons, juiced
¼ cup raw honey
quart water
1 lemon, sliced
Plain prepared kombucha for serving

Directions:

Pour the hot water over the tea and let it steep until the water is completely cooled. Strain and set aside.
Pour the juice from 2 lemons to start into a large pitcher and add the honey. Stir to combine.
Add the steeped hibiscus tea and stir again.
Pour the quart of water into the pitcher and stir again. Taste and adjust the tartness to personal preference. If you want it tarter, add another lemon.
Add the sliced lemon to the pitcher if using.
To serve, pour the lemonade over ice, leaving a little room. Top with the plain kombucha. Garnish with a sprig of mint if desired and enjoy!

I bought the hibiscus tea thinking I’d be drinking it alone, because my husband never wants to join in on my herbal adventures. But he had two stents placed in March and at a follow up in June a new cardiologist suggested hibiscus for heart health. He looked at me and shook his head. I told the doctor that I have been trying to get him to eat healthy fats and try new vegetables and herbs for years without luck. And the night before the appointment I had tried to get him to drink hibiscus tea with me and he wouldn’t. And every specialist we see keeps giving him my advice. 😆The doctor laughed and told him to drink it.
So that night he had some high desert hibiscus with no sugar over ice and he took a taste and said, “It’s good!” And he has asked for it every night since and I now need to order more! 🤣

We use this in place of another popular brand’s ’passion tea’, iced for a very refreshing drink! We also do half this and half strawberry juice to make a ‘pink drink’! It’s SO good!

Pleasantly surprised

I ordered this on a whim because I had heard it was good. I was pleasantly surprised at just how good it tasted. I highly recommend it.

My favorite iced tea blend

I love this tea. It is delicious warm as well but my favorite is to make it into honey sweetened iced tea. I make it up hot at night in a big mason jar, let it cool to warm so the heat doesn't damage the honey enzymes and then put it in the fridge over night to get cold. Made this one last night and can't wait to have it with lunch today. It is delicious. Just like all of the teas from FarmHouse, quality ingredients and taste that can't be beat.
