Organic Sarsaparilla Root, Organic Licorice Root, Organic Star Anise, Organic Ginger Root, Organic Clove, Organic Allspice, Organic Vanilla Extract

For Soda: Use 1/3 cup of syrup per 16 oz of carbonated or soda water.

For Kombucha: Add 1/3 cup of syrup to a 16 oz bottle and top with kombucha. Ferment 1-2 days.

1/3 cup of mix makes approximately 3 cups of finished syrup. The recommended amount of syrup is 1/3 cup to 16 oz of carbonated water. There are about 3-4 recipes in one bag of soda mix. This would make approximately 27-36 16 oz glasses of soda. Numbers may vary based on how long the syrup is cooked down (a.k.a. how condensed the syrup ends up) and how much syrup is used per 16 oz glass as customer taste buds vary.

Store in an airtight container away from temperature extremes and sunlight.

I crave this root beer!

Absolutely love this root beer mix. I was never a soda drinker, but if I ever did, my soda of choice was root beer. I haven’t had any in probably twenty years, so when I saw this mix I had to try it. My eleven year old son followed the directions provided and brewed up a batch. I’d say it was kind of root beer reminiscent at first, but I left it in the fridge for a week and then tried again. Amazing!!! Fulfilled all my root beer dreams. I just poured a bit of concentrate in a glass, added a tiny bit of raw cream, and added carbonated water from my soda stream. Absolutely delicious. I’ve been craving another batch!

*Note: We used date syrup as the sugar.

So fun and enjoyable!

We loved making the rootbeer syrup and drinking it in floats. We made ours with sucanat. Rootbeer is a favorite here and while it didn’t taste like Virgil’s, we all really appreciated it and enjoyed it, we’ll be making more!

Root beer

I love buying this and making a big batch of syrup. I leave the jar of it in the fridge along with bubbly water. We pour ourselves a cup often to enjoy since it’s all ready to go. Simply delicious!!

Old fashioned root beer

I believe this is more of an old fashioned root beer. I am using it with a ginger bug to make fermented root beer soda. I personally liked it a little better more concentrated and with some wintergreen, and a little extra cinnamon, clove and orange zest. Barq's is probably my favorite root beer so that's what I'm shooting for. However I'm still really happy using this product as a base then slightly altering it to my taste, especially because of the affordability. Some of these herbs are VERY expensive to buy on their own. Also, the packaging is adorable and I really enjoyed the samples they included. It shipped quickly. I also love supporting a small business that shares my values.

REFRESHING!

I have wanted to make my own root beer for so many years. This was so easy to make! Made it for my birthday and it is absolutely delicious! Strong root beer flavors and lots of other yummy herbal notes! I used maple sugar as a sweetener and that added the perfect flavor! Highly recommend!

Finally I have it the way I like!

I have childhood memories of root beer but when I spring for a bottle at the market it's not the same. The big company stuff is horrible and the small "craft" makers is good but not what I remember. It took a while but I finally have my recipe perfected. You may or may not like it, but I do and that's the point. Haha! Buy this and make it your own.

It grew on me..

At first I didn’t like it. Had mixed it with S.Pellagrino water. After about the 3rd one I was hooked on it and drank it every day. Will definitely be buying it again.

Really good.

The syrup mix was easy to make and tasted similar to store bought. I tried reducing the sugar, but found for us, that it needed the sweetness to smooth out the flavor and we added a little vanilla extract as well to balance out the spices.
