Where are all my crazy chicken ladies who sometimes just feel madder than a wet hen? Maybe you’ll see yourself in one of these: Hot Mess, Moody Mama, Who ’Dis?, Imma Wreck, Hot Minute, Moods Matter, Swing State, Full Circle, Seasons Change, Passing Through.

Our Lady Hen O’Pause Tincture Mix brings together a blend of herbs traditionally valued in women’s apothecaries during life’s changing seasons, including vitex berry, black cohosh root, burdock root, wild yam root, mugwort, motherwort, lady’s mantle, alfalfa, nettle, and tulsi.

This “dump-and-go” recipe makes tincture-making simple: just add alcohol (or glycerine), steep, strain, and bottle. It’s a heritage-inspired way to prepare your own apothecary extract at home.

Apothecary & Homemaking Uses

  • Herbs traditionally prepared for women during midlife changes

  • Keep a tincture bottle tucked in your bag for easy use on-the-go

  • Store in your apothecary cupboard as part of women’s traditional herbal blends

  • Create a homemade gift for a friend walking a similar path

Pro Tip: Start a batch before the season of change is in full swing—having your tincture ready makes it easier to lean on traditional ways when you need them most.

Black cohosh and mugwort may not be suitable for all individuals—research herbs individually and use with care.

Simply dump the mix and add your 100-proof alcohol (may also be made into a glycerite). Steep for 2 weeks, strain and bottle! Tinctures have never been so easy to make at home! Read more about tincture making here.
