It's time to spice things up! You know that feeling you get when you eat a hot pepper, this is about to do a similar thing. All the goodness of fire cider is now available as a dry mix. Easy to store in the pantry and ready to make when you are ready! It's time to get the blood moving!* Hand blended with the highest quality ingredients available and formulated to be an easy dump and infuse recipe. Directions:

Brew Up a Batch in 3 Simple Steps!

STEP 1
Add entire Dry Fire Cider Mix Packet into quart canning jar and cover with RAW apple cider vinegar (approx. 4 cups) Cover and seal with a lid.

STEP 2
Store in a cool dark place for approx. 2 weeks. Making sure to shake right after making as well as ever day for the 2 weeks.

STEP 3
After the 2 week infusion strain with a mesh cloth and retain liquid in a clean mason jar. Add Raw honey to your taste or desire (optional).

Curry Lemon Chicken & Coconut Milk

Fire Cider Kale Crunch Salad

Fire Cider Kale Crunch Salad and LEMON CHICKEN CURRY THIGHS IN CREAM SAUCE RECIPE

Ingredients:

Salad Ingredients

  • 1 head of red leaf or green leaf kale (or a mix)

  • ½ lemon, juiced

  • ½ tbsp olive oil

  • 1 cup cooked wild rice, chilled

  • 1 cup raspberries

  • ½ cup raw walnut halves

  • ½ honey crisp apple cut into matchsticks

  • ¼ cup thinly sliced red onion

Optional add-ins

  • Crumbled goat cheese

  • Tomatoes

  • Radish

  • Bell peppers

  • Any protein

Dressing Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp prepared fire cider (We used Farmhouse Teas Dry Fire Cider Mix)

  • ½ cup olive oil

  • ½ tbsp honey or to taste

  • 1 tbsp dijon mustard

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • ½ tsp freshly grated ginger

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • ¼ tsp salt

Directions:

  1. To make your dressing, combine all ingredients into a mason jar with a tight lid. Shake until the ingredients are thoroughly combined. Place in the fridge while you prepare your salad.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the chopped kale, lemon juice, and olive oil. Massage the kale with your hands until the kale leaves are soft and not as tough.

  3. Add the cooked rice, raspberries, walnuts, apple, and red onion. Toss to mix.

  4. Drizzle the salad with the desired amount of dressing, toss again, and serve immediately.

  5. Store leftover vinaigrette in the refrigerator.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 6-8 boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • ½ sweet onion, thinly slices
  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed
  • ⅔ cup chicken broth, divided
  • 1 14 oz can full-fat coconut milk
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tsp ground fire cider mix - see note (We used Farmhouse Tea's Dry Fire Cider Mix)
  • Juice from ½ lemon
  • 2 cups spinach
  • Pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley to garnish
  • Lemon wedges to garnish
  • Coconut cream to garnish

Directions:

  1. Heat a cast iron or nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and add the avocado oil.
  2. Pat the chicken thighs down with a paper towel and lightly season with a sprinkle of salt and pepper.
  3. Once the pan is heated, add the chicken thighs and don’t touch for 3 minutes. After 3 minutes is up, flip and cook for another 3 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside. Note: depending on the size of your pan, you may have to brown the chicken thighs in 2 batches.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium and add the sliced onion and saute for about 2-3 minutes. Add the crushed garlic and saute for 30 more seconds.
  5. Deglaze the pan by adding ⅓ cup chicken broth. Cook for about 1 minute, scraping the bottom of the pan to get all of the chicken drippings off.
  6. Add the remaining ⅓ cup chicken broth, coconut milk, salt, and ground fire cider mix and a pinch of black pepper. Whisk to incorporate and let come to a simmer. Reduce the heat to medium-low and let simmer for about 3-5 minutes for the mixture to reduce a bit.
  7. After it has reduced, squeeze the juice from ½ lemon and add the spinach. Stir to wilt.
  8. Add the chicken back into the pan and cook for 5 minutes over medium heat. Flip each chicken thigh and cook for another 5 minutes.
  9. Remove from the heat and let cook for 5-10 minutes before serving.
  10. Garnish with a drizzle of coconut cream, fresh parsley, and lemon wedges.

Great Stuff!

I purchased the 16 oz. bag to share with family. While only a week into the “brewing” stage, I came down with the sniffles. Decided to try some fire cider even though it wasn’t quite finished. It was so soothing (yes, it’s hot- make sure to add honey & dilute with water!)! This will be my go-to for colds!

Helps my cough in the morning

I have a cough in the morning that I have had for many years. When I ask CeAnne what might work, she suggested this. I drink it as a tea most mornings. I should try it with ACV. I am coughing much less! It seems to be from post nasal drip, but this sure helps!!! Also I use elder berry syrup when a cold might be coming on, or for travel! YEA! Works great!
