Raspberry Leaf (Rubus idaeus), a member of the rose family, has been cherished for generations in both the heritage kitchen and home apothecary. These carefully sourced leaves—from Europe (Albania, Croatia, and Bulgaria)—are cut and sifted to bring out their mild, earthy flavor, perfect for sipping as a soothing herbal tea or blending with other herbs such as chamomile, lemon balm, or peppermint.

Beyond the teacup, raspberry leaf has long been valued for its versatility on the homestead. From crafting herbal vinegars and infused oils to incorporating into DIY projects like salves, lotions, toners, creams, and even herbal hair rinses, raspberry leaf remains a staple in traditional herbal practices and cozy farmhouse living.

Everyday Uses on the Homestead

  • Brew as a simple herbal tea, alone or blended.

  • Infuse in apple cider vinegar for a farmhouse-style herbal extract.

  • Add into homemade body care projects such as salves, lotions, and creams.

  • Use as a gentle herbal rinse for skin or hair.

Pro Tip: Try blending raspberry leaf with peppermint and lemon balm for a refreshing homestead-style tea that’s both grounding and bright.

Total game changer!!

I wish I’d known 20 years ago that all I had to do to not be miserable during menstruation was to drink yummy raspberry leaf tea! This has literally changed my life, and in turn made that one particular week better for my family as well. That’s about 25% of our time, ladies! Drink the tea!

Great Herb in Tea

I recently bought raspberry leaf and nettles from Farmhouse Teas. It's nice that the bags are resealable. I steeped the herbs overnight together in equal parts and had a very tasty cold tea the next day!
