Made from Grade 18/8 Stainless steel this mesh tea strainer rests on top of a small teacup. Loose leaf tea is added to the strainer and hot water is poured over it as it infuses. These work best for large leaf loose teas rather than small leaf (chamomile, rooibos). It's also great for straining kombucha and making tinctures. We recommend a tea press for the smaller loose leaf teas.
Purchased this as a gift for a friend who scalded her fingertips pouring tea for us. She is a very experienced tea maker and pourer, but she gave her favorite tea strainer to a friend. She says it's perfect--the handle is long enough to prevent accidental splashes of boiling water.
Very good quality and good price
This strainer is at a nice low-cost and fits perfectly in the top of most mugs. It allows the tiniest particles through, but does keep the bulk of your tea leaves out of your cup.
I have many little tea strainers; most you have to put the tea leaves in and screw the top on. This little strainer is great for making a good hot cuppa! Winter is coming on and that is my time for a good hot cuppa to enjoy in the morning!

I used the yarrow to make the flu fighter glycerite with the other ingredients in the Homesteading Family cold and flu kit. I have about 4 weeks left to see how it works. I do plan to try and plant yarrow this year. But I also know I can get it from Farmhouse Teas as well. Thank you so much. Michelle

I love this mix because it’s easy. I don’t have to search out horseradish or turmeric roots. I love that I truly can dump and go. I haven’t yet used our fire cider in recipes; we’ve only taken diluted shots of it when feeling illness coming on. This season I’m planning on taking it preventatively. I love all the dump and go kits at Farmhouse Teas!
