Known as the “Angel of Herbs,” Angelica root (Angelica archangelica) is part of the parsley, carrot, and fennel family. With a celery-like aroma and an earthy, herbal flavor, angelica has been used in kitchens for centuries as both a seasoning and a tea ingredient.

Brew it into herbal teas for a distinctive, savory note, or pair with herbs like licorice root to balance flavor in blends. It can also be simmered with bay leaf, onions, or root vegetables to add depth to soups, stews, and broths.

Packaged in bulk for the homestead kitchen, angelica root is a versatile pantry staple for both tea lovers and traditional cooks.

Ingredients: Organic Angelica Root

Are all of your ingredients organic?

We love providing herbs that are fresh, pure, and of the highest quality. Whenever possible, we source from small family farms that grow with care for the land. Some of our partners are USDA-certified organic, while others practice organic methods but choose not to certify due to the cost.

Because our own facility is not USDA-certified, we don’t label our finished products as “organic.” Instead, you’ll see “organic” noted in the ingredient lists when that particular ingredient was grown on a certified organic farm. We want to stay transparent while still offering you the cleanest, most responsibly grown ingredients we can find.

We’re grateful to support local growers, and we believe that when ingredients are raised with integrity, you can taste and feel the difference in every cup.

Herbs are legally sold by the ounce but often we get asked how many cups are in a bag.

This herb has an approximate average of 7 cups per pound.
