Brew Up a Batch in 3 Simple Steps!

STEP 1 Add the Elderberry Mix Packet into a medium saucepan, topped with 5 cups of water, and boil. Then simmer for 20 minutes or reduce by 1/3, whichever comes first. STEP 2 Slightly mash the berries, strain the Elderberry Mix from the water using a mesh strainer, and let cool to room temperature. STEP 3 Add 3/4 to 1 cup of raw honey and 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar. Store in the refrigerator for 4-6 weeks or freeze. Makes approx—1 quart of syrup.

TIPS!

  • This recipe may be cut in half or quarters by dividing the weight of the ingredients in the bag and the other ingredients into half or quarters.
  • Prepared elderberry syrup that has been strained may be frozen into ice cube trays and stored in plastic zip-top bags for later use.

Absolutely The Best

First off, I have to admit your package sat on my counter then the holidays came and it was moved to my desk where it disappeared in a flurry of mail. I finally sat down and tackled the piles and surprise your package was uncovered. I decided to make the herbal elderberry syrup mix and was so excited to see not just bits when I emptied the package in the pan. The smell was so inviting, I left the room to get a quart jar and when I came up the stairs, the air was filled with wonderful aromas from the simmering process. We have been taking the syrup now for a couple of days. My husband says it doesn't taste bad, he was pleasantly surprised. I already knew I would like it. Thank you so much for making a quality product. We already placed another order to have on hand. Well done, you have done a wonderful job making this product.
