Black Tea - Steep 1 tsp of tea per 6-8 oz of hot water (190°- 212°F) for 3-5 minutes for best results.

Store in an airtight container away from temperature extremes and sunlight.

Christmas Pudding Cocktail

Ingredients:

Syrup

  • ¼ cup Christmas Pudding Loose Leaf Tea
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup honey

Cocktail - makes 1

  • 1 oz Christmas Pudding syrup
  • 2 oz pure apple cider
  • 1 orange, juiced
  • Ginger beer, to top
  • Optional - 1 shot of Brandy

Directions:

In a small saucepan over medium heat add the water, tea, and honey. Bring to a simmer and remove from the heat. Let steep for about 5-10 minutes. Strain the tea. 

Make the cocktail by adding the syrup, apple cider, and fresh orange juice to a cocktail shaker. If using brandy, add in this step as well. 

Add a handful of ice and shake until chilled. Pour over ice in a serving mug and top with ginger beer. Garnish with fresh cranberries, orange, and cinnamon sticks for a festive cocktail!

Great flavors

I love the Farmhouse Teas blends. I will try a new flavor with the sampler and then buy a full bag if I like it. I keep buying more full bags!! Christmas Pudding and Country Christmas Breakfast teas have been my favorites and have bought second bags of both.

I can’t put my finger on what I didn’t like about this tea. While all the flavors blended well, it just wasn’t to my liking.

So glad I took the chance

I really enjoy trying seasonal teas, and wanted something very Christmassy. The name of this tea caught my attention, but there were some ingredients I wasn’t familiar with, and I have never had raisins in tea! I have had so many fun experiences trying new to me flavors created by this talented family, I knew I had to give this tea a shot. Opening the bag is a treat itself. The smell is absolutely delightful! The tea is surprisingly mild with a variety of flavors coming through. One sip may taste a bit more citrusy and the next reveals more spice. From start to finish this is a lovely tea!

This is such a nice Christmas tea, but I’d like it anytime. I also enjoy making hot apple cider steeped with some of this tea. It’s so nice and cozy.
