Elder flowers (Sambucus nigra) are delicate, creamy blossoms harvested from the elder tree and carefully cut, sifted, and dried. Traditionally valued throughout Europe, these blooms have been used for centuries in teas, cordials, and home brewing.

With their light, floral aroma and subtle sweetness, elder flowers are a versatile bulk herb for both kitchen and apothecary use. They can be steeped into teas, infused into cordials, ales, vinegars, and waters, or incorporated into cosmetic blends such as lotions, soaps, and bath soaks. Are all of your ingredients organic?

We love providing herbs that are fresh, pure, and of the highest quality. Whenever possible, we source from small family farms that grow with care for the land. Some of our partners are USDA-certified organic, while others practice organic methods but choose not to certify due to the cost.

Because our own facility is not USDA-certified, we don’t label our finished products as “organic.” Instead, you’ll see “organic” noted in the ingredient lists when that particular ingredient was grown on a certified organic farm. We want to stay transparent while still offering you the cleanest, most responsibly grown ingredients we can find.

We’re grateful to support local growers, and we believe that when ingredients are raised with integrity, you can taste and feel the difference in every cup.

Herbs are legally sold by the ounce but often we get asked how many cups are in a bag.

This herb has an approximate average of 10 cups per pound.
