Hyssop (Hyssopus officinalis) is a traditional herb from the mint family with a bright, herbaceous taste and a refreshing, slightly minty aroma. These cut and sifted leaves are perfect for brewing into herbal teas, culinary blends, and homestead apothecary projects.

Hyssop has long been valued in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine, where its aromatic, minty zing adds depth to savory dishes. Beyond the kitchen, it is also used in infused oils, balms, shampoos, conditioners, and even liqueurs, making it one of the most versatile herbs to keep on hand.

For a flavorful twist, blend hyssop with dried lemon peel to season meats and vegetables, or mix with chamomile flowers to create soothing herbal tea blends and cosmetic infusions.

    Ingredients: Organic Hyssop

Are all of your ingredients organic?

We love providing herbs that are fresh, pure, and of the highest quality. Whenever possible, we source from small family farms that grow with care for the land. Some of our partners are USDA-certified organic, while others practice organic methods but choose not to certify due to the cost.

Because our own facility is not USDA-certified, we don’t label our finished products as “organic.” Instead, you’ll see “organic” noted in the ingredient lists when that particular ingredient was grown on a certified organic farm. We want to stay transparent while still offering you the cleanest, most responsibly grown ingredients we can find.

We’re grateful to support local growers, and we believe that when ingredients are raised with integrity, you can taste and feel the difference in every cup.

Herbs are legally sold by the ounce but often we get asked how many cups are in a bag.

This herb has an approximate average of 11 cups per pound.
